The TAVO Team

Phil J. TavolacciPhil J. Tavolacci, MSPT

After 6 years working as a physical therapist in varied settings (inpatient rehabilitation, outpatient orthopedics, and Sports Medicine), Phil started TAVO Total Health in September 2004. Having realized the limitations of "traditional" physical therapy in standard clinical settings, Phil set out to create a unique practice that offered the most result-producing therapies in a relaxing and healing setting. Phil's personal history of injuries, chronic pain, and surgeries led to his discovery and mastery of the most highly effective treatment modalities available via physical therapy. Although Phil treats patients of all ages and types of problems, he is especially skilled in treating complex chronic pain and non-common presentations that have not responded to other forms of treatment. Mr. Tavolacci is constantly attending advanced traning courses that allow him to offer his patients the absolute best therapy available in the DC/MD/VA area.

Phil Tavolacci is a licensed Physical Therapist in Maryland. He graduated Summa Cum Laude from Ithaca College in 1994 with B.S. in Exercise Science and earned his M.S.P.T. from the Medical College of Virginia (Virginia Commonwealth University) in 1998. Phil's greatest professional joy is helping people reach their physical/functional goals and achieve total well-being.
